Riemland Kuierfees 2011
Die Riemland Kuierfees gaan in 2011 n nuwe baadjie aantrek!. Die fees gaan groter en beter en ‘n avontuurlike bundugeur kry!
Riemland Route
October 2010 has seen the launch of the Riemland Route from Sasolburg to Rosendal. The route procedes from Sasolburg through the towns of Heilbron, Petrus Steyn, Lindley & Arlington to Rosendal. Further information is available from the route coordinator Johan at 072 230 5080
Kolwyntjie moves to new premises
Spring day on the 1st September 2010 saw the Kolwyntjie moving accross the road to a much larger premises. Congratulations to Lorraine and Yolandi on a wonderful new shop. Also to Coenie and Tienie who worked tirelessly every night until midnight to complete the rennovations. The Kolwyntjie is open daily from 08:00 until 17:00 and Saturdays from 08:00 to 12:00
Winter Weather arrives in Lindley
Winter has arrived in full force with the temperature plumeting to -13 degrees celsius on 16 June 2010. This is the coldest that Lindley has been in many years!
Health at Madison
Madison House has recently opened a health shop. The shop supplies a range of grains, seeds & nuts as well as soya products. There is also a range of herbs, some of which have been grown in the gardens of Madison House. A number of herbal tees are available as is stone ground flower. The shop hours are from 09:00 to 12:00 Monday to Friday.
Lindley bids farewell to Gert Bekker and his family
Gert and Liesl relocated to Johannesburg earlier this year with the idea of maintaining their home here in Lindley as a weekend gettaway. Unfortunately, with the hussle and bussle of city life they have sold their home here in Lindley and they packed up at the end of April. Gert will be sorely missed as he was not only the local estate agent, but also the chairman of the rugby and tennis cl

It is time again for the annual Riemland Kuierfees. The Kuierfees will take place at the usual venue, the Lindley sportsgrounds. | The second FIFF was held from 30 September to 4 October 2008 in Lindley. During the festival 33 aspirant filmmakers were trained in the basic skills of conceptualization, scriptwriting, filming and editing and completed a 3 minute shortfilm. Op Saterdag 8 November 2008 het Lindley Ruiterklub 'n pretrit gehou. 13 perde en ruiters het om 8:30 vanaf die Lindley stalle vertrek op 'n 15km roete. Na die rit is perde-speletjies gespeel, jaarvergadering gehou en vleis gebraai. Al die feesgangers en inwoners van Lindley is dit eens dat die Lindley Riemland Kuierfees van April 2008 sommer regtig lekker was! Die hekke het die Vrydag reeds om 10h00 geopen en sommer gou het besoekers opgedaag. Die krieketveld was in ‘n perdeskoen-vorm omring met stalletjies waar kopers kon kies-en-keur. Lees verder |
